Picked up my car from the garage yesterday. It seems the check engine light is on due to a glitch. The mechanic says the computer reads the error as something with the oxygen sensor with the catalytic converter. When he checked that system, no problems. It's a relief there's nothing really wrong, but it seems I'll have to live with the light being on. Told him to go ahead a do a tune up and check the belts. Total cost was $171, but it was far better than the $600+ I was expecting. I can accept that.

Went out last night with co-workers to TGIFriday's for dinner and brews. It was great to see the riverboats out and about. Had a good time, but was feeling very blah last night afterwards.

Decided to take today off, just wasn't feeling up to it. I'm probably pressing my luck a little, seeing how I've been away from the office traveling so much, but it was for work and I don't feel too bad about it.

Slept a couple of extra hours today, chatted a bit online this morning, went to Gold's trying to get back into a workout routine, and went shopping for fixings for soup again. I love soup on cold autumn days. Good news is that some buddies are coming into town tomorrow, so it'll be good to see them.

Bought my Halloween candy and ended up making an impulse buy of "The Fog" on DVD. It's not the best movie in the world, but it has always scared the crap out of me. Something about people walking into a fog and being attacked and killed, knowing it could just seep under a door or a crack in the window... It's always sent chills up my spine.

Oh well, off for a shower and then do some cooking...
