I was amazingly lazy this morning, sitting in my PJ's until 3 PM. I just did some laundry and chatted on Bear411 between loads. Not the most productive morning, but very enjoyable.

The evening was a movie and dinner with [livejournal.com profile] cincycub Brian. We went to see Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, which I thought was a nice funny gothic movie. Jim Carrey is in it, and he's not my favorite actor, but he was good in this flick. The true star, who made me laugh more than once, was the character of Sunny, the bite-prone baby sister. Her squeeks and cooes are translated for the audience with subtitles. Way too cute and funny there.

Aftewards, Brian and I headed to the Claddagh Irish Pub for dinner. I love that place, such good food. It was fun to chat about different things, to catch up in person rather than online.

I spent the rest of the evening wrapping my best friend's presents for his mom (he shipped them here so she wouldn't see them) and chatting on the phone with my buddy Steve in Ontario for the first time. He's such a handsome guy and a great person to talk with. I'm looking forward to talking to him again. I'm trying to convince him to start his own LJ as he often reads mine to keep up with my current events.

*blink blink blink*

Just change any word in that sentence, and it's no longer filled with innuendo.

;-)

Rest is GOOD!

Thanks again for dinner! It was SO good to catch up with you! And yes, Sunny definitely stole the movie on more than one occasion - I smell Oscar! ;)

Oh my.....you worded things that way on purpose didn't you? :-)

Glad you had a nice, restful day.....I hope to have one of those soon myself!

To make a real comment, instead of just using my dirty mind, I liked the movie too. Sunny was hysterical. I think that my favorite line of hers was, "She's the Mayor of Crazy Town!" *g*

I wish I could come up and see you in Columbus for New Years, but I'm heading to my hometown that weekend. My best friend from high school is in town that week and I'll be there to visit.

I hope you have a good time there though. Hugs :)

You're welcome!

And Sunny winning the Oscar just gives her something to chew on. :)

I just put down simple words to express my feelings and the events of the day. If certain dirty-minded people, who shall remain nameless but posted above, want to read things into it, who am I to stop them? (I love them dearly, I do.) :D

I hope you get some time off soon yourself, sounds like you could use it.

Howdy SJ, welcome to my journal of insanity. I enjoyed the day off too.

.. And I wish I had met you when I lived in Overland Park, KS a few years ago.

I would measure productivity by the number of loads you got done while on bear411. LOL. Haven't seen the movie yet. Not a big Jim Carey fan either. Enjoy your time off.

LOL.. that's the way it works. I used to live in the apartment complex off of Frontage Rd between 75th and 86th street. I worked across US 35 from the complex in Lenexa, KS.

Were you there in 2000? It is too bad, darn it.

The movie surprised Brian and me as well as being oddly entertaining, despite being Carrey-laden and somewhat gothic.
