Green Shirt Thursday and Other Things

It's been a fairly busy work week, but not much has happened otherwise. I've been trying to "re-start" P90X diet-wise with so-so success to see if I can't work on this flabby mid-section.

Green Shirt ThursdayIt's Green Shirt Thursday!

We've had some pretty great weather the last few days, the reminants of I think our last "Indian Summer" for the year. I wanted to go running yesterday, but one of the side-effects I've found of going high protein/low carb is a bit of a drop in energy. The nap I took instead felt darn good though.

I have my Christmas card designs *almost* ready. I'm off tomorrow, so maybe I'll get them to the printer this weekend.

This week I found out I'm heading to a training class in Sacramento, CA in December. I've never been to any parts of California, so this should be interesting

I missed last week's episode of "The Walking Dead" and it irritated me that I forgot about it. I have to remind myself to set up the DVR to record it automatically. In trolling the web, I discovered that hottie-creator Robert Kirkman is a Kentucky bear.. er, .. boy! Yay! Score one for my home state. How I missed that tidbit, I'll never know.

I haven't set my dvr to record walking dead automatically cause it seems like it records the same episode multiple times. I always have that problem with the non-network channels. thankfully we do have on demand if I forget to record it, I just can't fast forward through commercials as fast LOL

I think I can go to AMC online and watch the missed episode, but I can catch the repeat this Sunday too before the new episode is aired.

Check and see if your cable box offers it on demand.

I'll have to look. I'm patient enough to wait until Sunday if need be.

Too bad your training is not down here in Southern Calif (Los Angeles area to be more exact). I'd love to meet you :-)

Our training courses are rarely in cooler cities. I'm shocked that we're even going to California for a class.

I'm sorry your first taste of California will be Sacramento. They roll up the sidewalks after business hours. San Francisco is a two hour drive. Just far enough to be inconvenient.

I wish I were there over a weekend. I would try to take a day trip over to San Fran.

Well if you do ever make it here I'll be happy to show you the sights.

You must have a green collection - very becoming!
Have fun in Sacramento, though remember that Northern California is different from SoCal.

Have never seen The Walking Dead ...tho recently read an interesting article in the NY Times about Vampires & Zombies. This was personality analysis - Vampires: loners, seductive, easily flattered, not necessarily team players, strongly decisive. Zombies: comfy with group-think, operate by consensus, plodders, joiners. Interesting idea...tho I've a hunch a lot of people are a mix, and react differently under specific situations.

I do have a lot of green in my closet actually. It's my favorite color.

I had a buddy here from San Diego last weekend and he commented that Sacramento was a little dull in comparison to other parts.

Now that is an interesting analysis on vampires and zombies. :D
