Green Shirt Thursday

Green Shirt ThursdayWow.. how that gray/silver is really creeping in there.

Not a lot to say really. The work week is going along, I ran four miles yesterday, and spent the last couple of evenings working on the comic book. I think that it's the post-Pride Night blah. After having such a full weekend, the week just can't seem to compare in any way really.

I am looking forward to some movies coming out this weekend. "Easy A" looks like a lot of fun, full of actors I like, and the story seems interesting for the usual teen dramedies that have been out of late. And I have to admit that the previews for "Devil" look really good, but I've been burned so many times by M. Night Shyamalan (sp?) that I really don't want to give him another chance to rob my wallet.

I'll be reporting on at least the first. I'll be waiting for reviews for the second.

The trailer I saw for Devil looked ridiculous. So his big scary thing is "trapped in an elevator"? Okay, so there's something nasty in there with them, but really? An elevator?

Funny story...a friend of mine saw the trailer in the theater. The audience was muttering "what the hell is this crap?" and similar sentiments. Then at the end of it, it flashed "by M. Night Shyamalan" and apparently the whole audience did an "ahhhhhhh" and burst out laughing.

I've seen other movies where a group gets trapped in an elevator and realize that there is a killer in there with them. I like the tension that kind of scenario creates.

Shyamalan has just cranked out one crappy film after another in the last few years. I saw "The Happening" and nearly demanded my money back. After that, I swore I'd not pay to see another of his films. After "The Sixth Sense," he's just gone downhill.

So the audience's reaction you described does not surprise me at all. :)

I was looking at myself in the mirror and bemoaning the grey hairs that seem to have suddenly sprouted overnight.

So I grabbed the clippers and gave myself a haircut. Buzz!!!!

I'd skip the Shyamalan flick in the theaters and wait for it on DVD. Go see "Easy A"! I love how they worked in references to one of my favorite pieces of classic literature in it ("The Scarlet Letter").

I guess I never figured I'd go grey so early, but then I realize that I'm in my late 30's, so not so early :D

Don't think of it as "going grey"; think of is as becoming a platinum blonde.

Oh I am dingy enough without the actual blonde showing...

I try never to be photographed from the side these days because of the encroaching grey lol
The trailer for Easy A has just begun airing over here and it looks kinda sassy actually so interested in your review :)
Saw the trailer for Devil online last week and I'm reserving judgement for when the official reviews come out. Maybe there'll be a twist (what am I saying there's ALWAYS a twist!) but maybe, just maybe it'll be a new twist worth seeing this time...

I don't really mind the incoming grey, but I do wish it would have waited until at least my 40's before it started creeping into my chest hair. :)

See I don't mind that...but sprouting shoulder hairs? They're being BORN grey! They never had a chance :(

LOL... shoulder hair is HOT!

And I actually found a chest hair this morning that is in mid-transformation from black to silver. I swear I'm 37!

Ummm...you are 37 aren't you?! *ducks*

Don't make me come there and spank you... :)

What's this word 'don't'? Nope, not heard of it, have no idea what it means...
*assumes the position* :O
Lol
