Aeon Flux

It has a long time since I saw the original "Aeon Flux" cartoon series. I never saw all of them and only vaguely remember what I did see. I remember the artwork being a bit odd to me and that the blond guy kept sticking his tongue in girls' ears. I also recall one episode where Aeon had ended her mission only to step on a nail and fall to her death from a tall building. Like I said, I don't recall that much of it.

So Aeon Flux, though I have heard that it deviates from the original story, was pretty much okay in my book. I enjoyed it. Charlize Theron looks pretty hot in a catsuit and she does make use of the wiggle. The special effects I thought were pretty good and so were the fight scenes (yay for catfights). I think my only complaint is that Charlize does come across as threatening enough in my opinion.

Trevor Goodchild and Aeon Flux

I was surprised to see Marton Csokas as Trevor Goodchild in the movie. I have seen him in other movies, like LOTR: Return of the King and Timeline. I have always thought he was handsome and I think he does a good job in the movie as well.

I saw it for sale at Wal-Mart, but thought it was a bit pricey, there are only ten episodes, I think.

a couple of friends said it was good and had a solid plot, but over all was just okay. i was hoping to see it this weekend but didn't get around to it.

do you want to get together for Narnia this weekend?

oh, and hottie Marton was a semi-regular on Xena - it's not just for lesbians!

I thought that he was pretty sexy there, myself.

Oh, I was hoping we'd get to see a bit of him shirtless in the bedroom scene. I was very disappointed they concentrated on her instead. Darn it... :(

Well ya know ...

... back in "THE DAY," I was a big fan of the animated "Aeon Flux," which was then part of MTV's fondly remembered "Liquid Television" series. "Aeon Flux" was utterly enigmatic: A mostly non-verbal (at least, early on) tale set in a fantastic futuristic world that might not even have been Earth.

What little I've heard about this new, live-action version doesn't set very well with me. First of all is her look: Gone is that so-hard-and-sharp-you-could-cut-yourself-on-it perm, replaced now with a much softer, shorter bob. Gone also are all the acres of bare skin (as if I should care!). Which do you prefer? THIS:

or THIS:

???

AND FINALLY (and this is no small complaint):
If Charlize Theron doesn't catch a fly in her EYELASHES, then it isn't even Aeon Flux, is it???
