Good Days, Charmed and Gilmore Girls....

Today was surprisingly good. I think the weather had something to do with it, sunny and warm today. Work was not as painful as it has recently been and I made it to the gym after work and got a good workout in.

I got home to find the first season of Charmed on DVD was finally delivered from Amazon.com. It was a welcome sight, I can't wait to watch them.

It's also Tuesday, which means Gilmore Girls was on tonight. I love that show. I've cut the writing from here to spare those of you who TiVo'ed it tonight.

I love this show, don't get me wrong, but it can infuriate so much in the storylines, which I guess is the sign of a good show and great writing. One of the subplots of the show is the sexual tension between Lorelai and Luke. As things got to the point where they were a couple, her manipulative bitch of a mom fouled it up. Grrrrr! Far be it for me, a guy, to be so enamored with this show, but I do love it, even these parts. With Luke and Lorelai broken up, that means no more naked hairy chest shots of Luke for a while. Curse you, Emily Gilmore! LOL.. oh well.. I can dream.

Of course, you only have to worry about 3 seasons or so of Charmed, since the rest mostly blows, with rare good episodes. *g*

I'm like you, I don't think I could buy it piece by piece. I have to have full sets too.

Hmmm. I haven't seen any Charmed yet, but was a huge Buffy and and am watching the final season of Angel now. I may have to consider it.

Oh, and I really like your new icon. It's a very nice picture of you.

You can catch the Charmed repeats on TNT to see if you like it enough.

And thanks, it's from a pic taken last week :)

Did you see the previews for next week? Looks like they are going to be apart for awhile. I think I will pick up Charmed next week with Stripperella. In case you hadn't seen yet, Gilmore Girls season 3 is due out May 3rd.
I have to agree with jguy70. That is a really good picture of you.

Thanks Mike :D

Well, I guess that is part of the drama of the show -- will they or wont they get together? And it does seem that whenever things get good between Lorelai and Emily, something happens to push them apart again, usually due to Emily.

I'm really wanting to get Stripperella too and yeah, I noticed yesterday that Gilmore Girls, Season 3, is going to be out soon too. I can't wait.

LOVE Gilmore Girls!!! One of my favorite shows. I'm never home to watch, so I wait for the DVD's to catch up. Great show!

Ah, but they now broadcast the past seasons on ABC Family, check your listings, you might be able to catch it there. The pilot was just on the other day.

Luke and Lorelai have broken up???

Gah! I've only seen up until maybe the third episode of the current season so far and Luke and Lorelai are happy, happy. Grrr ... I knew it was too good to be true! *laugh* It has something to do with Christopher, doesn't it??? Argh!!! A friend in the states has been taping them and mailing them, but it's just not getting here fast enough! *laugh* Great ... just please tell me he isn't MOVING! ;)

LOL.. I need to refrain from making comment for you poor folks living abroad. I'm sure it's not a permanent thing, the last episode ever (which will be years and years from now) will be them getting married I'm sure.

.. and yes, Christopher .. and Emily... have a part in the brake up.

No, no ... I LIKE knowing what happens! *laugh* (But no, I don't read the last page of a book, no matter how tempted I am!)

I knew Christopher had to have something to do with it - he always does! Argh!

LOL.. I know.. I felt bad when he dumped Lorelai for his preggers girlfriend, but now that he's solo again, I think Lorelai should tell him to take a hike.

.. and did you notice I spelled break up as "brake up"? What would Mrs. Mitchell or Mrs. Foley say????

Oh dear lord ... My brain goes faster than my fingers and I screw up all the time. At least I know (at least I hope you do) that I'm not really as dim as my spelling my otherwise indicate! =)

What I'm REALLY wishing is that I had paid more attention in French class (or kept up the German class in SOAR)! *lol*

Re: Luke and Lorelai have broken up???

[identity profile] kybearfuzz.livejournal.com 2005-03-01 06:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh good heavens! I hadn't thought about SOAR in forever!!! I wish I had taken German back then, but it never seemed like a priority. Remember, we were charter students in SOAR, how does that make you feel? In fact, I think it's still going on!

Good gracious now I feel old (again)!

[identity profile] bleuvalentines.livejournal.com 2005-03-01 10:36 pm (UTC)(link)
And just WHO drew the original design for SOAR? Moi! (Lookee there ... usin' my Francais)! That's a dubious honor. I hope they still aren't using that!

German didn't seem to be a priority and French certainly wasn't (I will still claim that southern accents and French should not be mixed). Who knew we'd be such worldly people, Mark? *laugh*
