Sunday Night at the Movies

After finally getting home and cleaning the house a bit, I decided to hit the movies. I've been wanting to watch Darkness for a week, but it wasn't playing in my hometown. So I rushed out to see it tonight.

I only had to shush a talking couple once and the gaggle of teenage girls with glowing cellphones only got up and left one time. Anna Paquin does a good job, but the movie overall left me a bit confused. They really didn't explain the plot very well, the end result left me a bit wanting. I think they should have spent a bit more time on plot development.

Well, I'm off tomorrow, thankfully. Sleeping in is the plan.

Pet peeve #134 - People that talk out loud in theaters! ARGGGGG!

I know. And I love the reaction you get when you shush them.

"Do you hear a leaky tire? A snake?" Dumbasses!

You know, everybody says they hate movie talkers, yet nobody ever admits to BEING one. Well, I'm making a stand...

Hello, my name is Eddie and I talk in movies.

I cant help it. I just like it. I want to say my thoughts. I try to be quiet and discreet..I promise I really do. I was only shushed once..that was in "Wag the Dog" and I was genuinly being loud because my friend Kelli whispered something very funny in my ear. I apologize to the movie Gods for the Wag the Dog experience.

Well, laughing out loud and talking are different things, in my opinion. This couple was of the "Oh, she's going to go in that door... watch.. she'll go in that door"

Like I need to hear that!

Umm...yea...*looks away*..that is TOTALLY different..and I ...um.. *looks up in the air* would NEVER do that too.

I'll remember that if I ever take you to the movies :)

I'm not as obnoxious as..let's say...huge pee-wee football teams pimping out a restaurant..say..Bob Evans...and being loud and everywhere.

We should have cheered for the less popular kids, it would have been a nice touch.

I checked out a 3 movies this past weekend including Darkness. It started out pretty good, but I agree with you in the fact that the end left you wanting a bit more. It was an OK movie for the most part.

However, I also checked out "The Aviator." I didn't go in expecting anything, but it was actually a very good movie to my surprise. I so don't like Leonardo DiCaprio but he did a great job...and Cate Blanchett did an awesome job playing Katharine Hepburn as well.

And the other "Meet the Fockers" was just plain funny...not as good as the first but still funny!!

It looks like all I did this weekend was watch movies....well after a few hard nights of partying...there wasn't much else I could handle...lol

Sadly, nothing else this weekend struck me as entertaining. I just can't watch Leonardo DiCaprio. No matter how good an actor he is, he looks like a kid playing an adult part. I kept waiting for Rose in Titantic to be arrested for stautory rape.

I agree that he looks like a kid playing an adult (I haven't liked any of his other movies, but this one is just a bit different) - don't go see if for him....the other actors/actresses are well worth it if that is any consulation :)

And yeah, the pairing of him and Kate Winslett was a little off keel...definetly not my favorite movie..hehe
