The Weekend Thus Far

I got up late today. I have to do the office internal audit this coming week and unfortunately I've stressed out a bit over it. Auditing a company is one thing, auditing your friends' work is much different.

Once I got up I started working on the yard, which has been terribly neglected so far this year. I ended up trimming bushes, pulling weeds, cutting ivy, and raking the fallen bloom petals from my dogwood. After two hours of that in the hot sun, I was beat. I had to then mow the yard.. Needless to say I was exhausted. I also think the heat got to me a bit as well.

I inhaled half a pepperoni pizza (stupid me skipped breakfast) and have been drinking water like crazy. I spent the majority of the night vegged on my couch drawing a cartoon strip for a very cute Canadian friend of mine. I'll finish it tomorrow for him. I chatted with him earlier and he just got back from a bad date. The date guy was a bit too grabby apparently. He sounded like he could use a cheering up. The toon will hopefully do that.

Well, it's late, I've watched way too much Carol Burnett tonight, and I'm sleepy. Tomorrow is another day.. and thankfully, another day off.

That's a lot of yard work in the sun. I'm in Phoenix, and it get quite sunny here, too. :)

I'll bet! I was in Tucson around this time last year and I remember the heat!!!

I'm from Southern Indiana, so I know the joys of humid summer heat where you are. :)

Oh, then I'm sure you're used to the humidity we can have. That was the nice thing about Arizona, it's dryer heat, so it doesn't feel so muggy.

Oh, but it's a dry heat. :) Turn your oven to 120 degrees and stick your head in it. That's dry, too. Hee hee. But I admit...it's nice not being so damn muggy.

Did you do the yardwork while shirtless? *mmmmmms at the thought* Of course, you'd probably be sunburned if you had, which would be a bad thing. Of course, I could come over and put suntan lotion on you.... *weg*

LOL! Actually I did go shirtless in the back yard (don't want to scare any small children in the neighborhood)! And you are more than welcome to come and grease me down.. er.. I mean, put sunscreen on me. =D

Oooh, now that's an image...and an offer...that I like!

LOL! I love that show, but when it gets to be 12 midnight and you're still watching, it can be a bit much!! :)
