Cartooning and 5 AM Workouts

Yesterday, I came home wiped out. Lots of stuff happening at work, but being busy is good, but it did wear me out. I also blame the weather for some of it. Overcast days are sleepy days.

So when I got home, I had every intention of working out. Then I took a catnap and my desire to work out faded. I had some cartooning to do and needed to get to it. Two more pages of the next Bear Patrol issue done and then a cartoon for this weekend's Cincinnati MovieBears outing to see "The Wizard of Oz" in IMAX 3D. That one I'll share with you.

So out of guilt of missing my workout yesterday, I got up at 4 AM (rather easily for some strange reason) and did my shoulders, biceps and triceps workout. It feels good to have it done, but those morning workouts are rough.

Friday is nearly here. Thankfully.

to see "The Wizard of Oz" in IMAX 3D

Sure seems like a shameless grab for money on the part of MGM (or whoever owns them now).

And yet... I have the 3D Blu-ray preordered. Let me know after you've seen the film if I should cancel.

It wasn't my #1 pick for the movie, but I knew if I didn't throw it into the voting pool for the bears, I'd be asked about it.

At least we know the movie itself doesn't suck. I hope the guys aren't disappointed that it's not a sing-a-long.

Oh, you know how bears can be...

But I've read only wildly enthusiastic reviews about the 3D conversion of the film, with everyone saying that it's like seeing the movie for the first time. Sounds very impressive and looking forward to your impressions.

When I was working the 4am shift, I enjoyed getting the day started so early. But it was sucky going to bed so early when I'm much more of a night owl. Its funny, however, when I had to be at work at 5am last week, getting up at 430 wasn't quite as tough as getting up at 3am.

I think the brief nap I took the day before helped. By the afternoon though, I was beat.

I want too that movie in 3-D too!

I hope it will be good and not crappy 3-D.

Doesn't getting up at 4am leave you feeling wiped out?

I was feeling it later in the day, yeah, but it was nice to go home and think, "at least I don't have to work out now."

Wizard is not playing here at the local IMAX!

I'm a little surprised by that, since it's a one-week only thing, I'd have thought all IMAX's would throw it out there.

I just found out it is digital projection, and IMAX here does not have digital.
