Pride Kilted Bear

Pride Kilt BearYesterday, after a rough day at the office and a less than fun trip to get the oil changed in my car, I crashed in front of the TV to watch a bad horror movie. After work, I didn't feel like concentrating on my comic, but ended up doodling a bit and this cartoon was the result. I did a very quick color on the computer, so it's not my best work, but I like it.

Pride is this weekend in Cincinnati. We're getting a bit of a late Pride this year, but the good news is that the weather should be amazing for it. Since I'm doing my first 5K on Saturday morning, I'll be passing on the Pride Pub Crawl tonight, but I'll be trying to enjoy other festivities over the weekend.

Enjoy your Pride weekend; ours won't hit until mid-August.

It's a lovely drawing, but with this crowd, I know what they'd REALLY like to see: This same young man, back to the viewer, bending down from the waist to fasten his shoelace.

To follow a mantra embraced by costume designer William Ware Theis: Sexy isn't in what you reveal, it's in what you MIGHT reveal.

Prideful huggage!

Good luck with the run tomorrow. For a "doodle", it's a great drawing. (I can't even doodle a straight line).

Happy Pride! Good luck with the 5K! I like your doodling very much! :)

HUGS!

*You earned three exclamation points in one reply. I believe that's a new record from me*

Well no wonder you like it ... he's worth many 'Woofs!" And I think your use of the rainbow palette is delightfully imaginative... were I a Scot, I'd want a kilt just like that!

Best wishes on your 5K !... I bet a sweaty shot of you just afterwards would delight your fans ;0)
