Boring Class and the Hangover

So far the class has been duller than dishwater. While I can sympathize with the instructors for not having the most exciting topics to cover, a little better-prepared presentations wouldn't hurt. Hours of slide-reading makes for a very long day. One instructor isn't even friendly. I saw him at breakfast yesterday, said "good morning" to him and I swear he grunted back at me. I have met him before so it's not as though we are strangers. I think he got bad evaluations during the previous class (I was in that one too) and I guess he's not happy to see familiar faces in this one.

After work, a pregnant co-worker and I went to dinner. The waitress saw my coworker's tummy and congratulated her and then looked at me, and said, "you must be so proud!".

I responded, "I certainly would be, if it were mine."

After dinner, we hit the movies to see "The Hangover." It was raunchy and fun, certainly earning that R-rating, especially when you watch the closing scenes. It may be one to buy.

You know you are probably one of the most tenacious critics out there over presentations. You know why? Because you already know how to do this blindfolded. Just sounds like you keep getting into a string of bad presentations over and over again. I think it serves as a reminder of how aware you are of what makes a presentation good or bad. Maybe you need to make a presentation n how to make a presentation? ;)

And in your non-daddy response, is that the best you could do? Surely you could come with something far more snarky. :p I welcome suggestions from the peanut gallery on other suggestions you could have come up with.

I thought the movie was a lot of fun too. My thought on it though was that it was great once, but that it probably wouldn't stand up to rewatches.

I find it so interesting how so many people assume family connections when adults are in public together. Mark and I often get the "Are you guys brothers?" question (despite not looking anything alike except for being big, hairy guys). And when I happen to be in public with older parishioners people often assume I am their son.
