A Monday Without Office Work

I'm burned more of the use or lose vacation time today. Overall, it was productive.

I met an alumni rep from Berea College at QDoba today. She was very nice and had been trying to schedule a time to meet for months, but my travel schedule kept me from it (and I admit I was avoiding her too). I braced for what I expected was a definite pitch for money for the college fund. It turned out to be far more pleasant than that. I bought her lunch even. Will I donate to the school? Yeah, but on my terms with no pressure. She did ask a lot of questions and I'm not sure I gave her all positive answers, but at least real ones.

Some more Christmas shopping got done afterward and then zoomed home to make chili for a potluck at work tomorrow. I multi-tasked by chatting with Mom at the same time. She's happy I'm cooking again, as I don't do it often anymore, but was always told I was good at it. The chili tastes good. I have the poison control number handy just in case there is a delayed reaction.

And my hands smell like onions... :(

What was the sell from the college? Were they trying to push you into including them in your estate planning?

I made chili yesterday. And pulled chicken bbq in the slow cooker. My house will NEVER smell the same.

Glad the sell wasn't as bad as you expected!

I am glad you had a good day off.
And I'm sure the chili will be a hit!!!
