Still on Vacation

It's been something of a busy week, despite being off work. Here are some highlights:

• Softball is going strong. I redeemed myself tonight after last week's double strike-out. My first time at bat, I jacked one to high left center. The outfielder caught it, but at least I made her run for it. Two other times at bat, but no base, but I'll take any improvement I can get. We're 2-0 so far.
  
• After years of promising myself, I finally broke down and bought a 40" LCD HDTV. It is really fun having it and surprisingly enough, it fits in my old entertainment center with some modifications. I'm thinking of buying a Blu-Ray player next.
  
• No calls from work. Even more reason to celebrate.
  
• I made it to Borders after tonight's game. I had a 40% off DVD coupon to use. I snagged the Little Britain Live DVD and a welcome surprise in finding out that the A Haunting series from the Discovery Channel has been released on DVD. Yay!!! Scary times ahead.

It's true, my TV had one of those Flintstones talking birds that jumped out of the remote to change the channel. It explains all that bird $#!+ from the couch to the entertainment center. :)
