Home for the Holidays

Well, I'm down in Kentucky for another fun-filled holiday week. This one promises to be one of the more unusual. My brother has the flu and bought this yippie miniature doberman for his pseudo-girlfriend. Damn thing kept yipping all night! Little sleep + whiny dog = grouchy Mark.

My sister has an abcessed (sp?) tooth which has caused her face to balloon to twice it's normal size. She has a root canal scheduled for tomorrow if the swelling has gone down. If the way she looked yesterday is any indication, it will have to get postponed. Mom is in full "what do you think of my boyfriend?" mode, which makes me want to respond, "I'll tell you about mine if you tell me about yours." Not that I have one, but the look on her face would be priceless. I swear, sometimes my family is right out of a Fannie Flagg novel.

Saw "Return of the King" yesterday. Excellent movie, although my bladder was about to explode. Give me the days of intermissions. Great action scenes and yes, Samwise AKA Sean Astin is a cute little bear.

Well, my brother's computer is slower than molasses so I'm off to buy some memory for it, an early birthday present seeing how I'm done Christmas shopping for him. Now if I can get it installed without him knowing it. I haven't been on the computer much due to it locking up on me and such, so in case I don't hop on before the 25th, Merry Christmas to all!

I agree, Sean Astin is adorable. The movie length was a bit on the obserd side, but I did remember not to drink pop. However it did put us over the limit for the AMC's actually parking lot. That was not a nice suprise.

Somehow I don't see a yippie doberman as cute.

Oh wow. They don't give us a limit, but we have to pay $1 for parking regardless of how long we stay.

I knew about the movie length before hand, but I still had to have a Pepsi. Needless to say, I have considerable bladder control.

Sorry to hear about the parking. You'd think they'd know about that for the longer movies.

And the miniature doberman is cute... as long as she belongs to someone else.

Mmmmmmm....Sean Astin.

I'm with you on the bladder explosion thing. I made the mistake of buying a soda. Lucky I hit the men's room on the way to the concession stand.

Mini dobermans. Blech. The people who used to live next door had 2 of them. Can we say "non-stop barking/yapping"? Yes, I thought we could.

Merry Christmas
