Rural Kentucky Tour 2008, Last Day

Rainy Kentucky Mountains, West of Harlan, KY
I finished everything today after yesterday's harrowing drive. I have to admit that the rain caused some really cool scenery as the fog was coming off the mountains all around me. This shot was through the windshield on my way back yesterday. The total drive this week came to 1,347 miles, which despite all the local traveling I do, is actually a record for me for a week.

I was thrilled to actually get home tonight, but very tired. Sleeping in my own bed will be a great thing tonight. It'll be slow, relaxing weekend I think.

LOL.. well, sure.. but does it matter that I sharpened the photo up a bit and played with the contrast? I'm not sure what the rules are for your favorite photo. And technically, I took the photo in 2008.

I promise you, I did want to be home and cozy! Driving those roads in the rain was not a comfortable thing. I'm glad you enjoyed the photo :)
