Snow and Traffic.....

Ugh! Got up a little later than usual and got dressed only to find my drive coated with snow. I thought it would be no big deal, it was pretty warm over the last few days (well, it was above freezing at least) and didn't think it would stick.

Wrong! The roads in NKY are a mess. Radio traffic reports are full of wreck notifications and miles and miles of backups. It took me 1/2 hour to drive one block. I did a u-turn and came home. Called the boss, told him that I wouldn't be in until later if at all.

awww... hehe... that's what you get for
a) waking up late
b) living in a state that only owns 3 snowplows

*giggle*

Enjoy the couple hours of freetime!!

Getting up late I could have avoided, but the latter... eh, what can I add to that?

I agree there. Coming from a state that sends kids to school on "dangerous wind chill" days, and people have plow attachements to make their own paths, it is a little joy I get to call people in warmer areas big babies

Thanks for the heads-up! I'm supposed to be at the doctor's in Edgewood at 11:00 - I think I'll start - um - now.

Be careful, Dani, the side roads are a mess too. Just came through there on my way home and the snow is still falling.

Yeah, I can see out my window that it's falling on my street, but not sticking much to the street itself. I'll take the most-traveled roads. Thanks!
