DVD Finds at Walgreen's

Match Game on DVDAfter [livejournal.com profile] aceofspace and I hit TGIFriday's for dinner, we drove over to Walgreen's to get some saline spray to help unclog my sinuses as the cold seems to hanging on.

On our way out, we passed by the DVD's for sale and I found this one for $7. I loved watching Match Game as a kid, so I had to buy it. I am sure there is many-an-icon in the making in this DVD with Brett Sommers and Charles Nelson Reilly on the panel. I love the odd DVD find at the stores.

I have this in my NetFlix queue, but I'd totally spend $7 on it.

Damn! You always find the best DVD sales.
I feel the need to run to Walgreens now!

Actually, I've seen this DVD. I got it from Netflix last spring.
The Brett Summers interview where she talked about how she got the job is great

Hmmm. I seem to remember a game show called Tattletales.

The audience was divided into 3 different colors. Yellow was the banana section.

I'm glad Dave could help you out! ;)

I do tend to do trivia on occasion. My head is full of useless information, I've heard. Poor Burt Convy, I was sad when he died from cancer.

Richard Dawson gave me herpes -- which I in turn gave to Gene Rayburn. God, those were good times. If I'm on the DVD I expect royalties!

Brett Sommers actually just died very recently. I believe she was in her 80's. I loved that show. Charles Nelson Reilly and Brett were the early Will and Grace I'd say. Who remember's Lidsville?

Brett was one of the few celebrities who really just did the game show and not much else. I was shocked to find out she was married to Jack Klugman. Though they were separated for YEARS, they never divorced....
