Just random bits of the weekend and beyond...

My old car, the Honda Civic, has met its demise. The young man I sold it to was in a car accident last week with a truck that pulled out in front of him. Both airbags deployed so he and his passenger were relatively unharmed (thankfully), but the car is likely totaled. He was a good car. The guy's mom, who works with me, said she'll definitely buy a Honda for her next car after this.
My apologies to demcub and fedex_cub for skipping on your fab party this weekend. The spirit was willing, but the body was weak.
Watch some terrible horror movies and a marathon of Flavor of Love Girls: Charm School this weekend between naps. I'm enthralled, I have no idea why, but seeing this gaggle of hot messes make asses of themselves causes many chuckles.
I have a softball double-header tonight, first game at 7:40 PM followed by the 9 PM game. I hope to get to play tonight, will be very ticked off if I don't.
I stole this one from mississippicub. The Ernest Hemingway Lookalike Contest is basically a parade of polar bears. The photo of the winner with other contestants is behind the cut.

Oh yeah, there is something about a greying or white beard that is very attractive. :)

LOL.. oh yeah! I've always thought Ernest Hemingway was a strikingly handsome bear of a guy! And now there is a whole room full of them somewhere! :D

Wow. That didn't last long. Glad the kid is ok!

I was glad to hear he was okay too. Those airbags are a godsend. I'm sad for him though, his first car is gone way too soon.

Now I'm not so sad that I couldn't make the party this weekend. ;-)
