28 Weeks Later

I went to see a matinee of 28 Weeks Later yesterday. The story revolves around a survivor of the initial rage virus infestation that destroyed Britain. After several months, a section of London is considered to be habitable after being cleaned up by the American government and evacuated Britons are invited to come back. The survivor's children come back to the island and are reunited with him. His children sneak out of the safe zone to retrieve some personal belongings and come up on another survivor who has been hiding, one who turns out to be a carrier of the virus. With a simple kiss, the virus begins to spread again and all heck breaks loose.

The movie is pretty good, some very good acting and a solid story. My only complaint is the jerking motion of the camera. I know it's supposed to mean that erratic action is happening, but it gets a bit old at times and irritating.

Did I enjoy the movie? Yes.
Would I see it again? Eh, not really...
Buy the DVD? Eh, not really...

I just rented "28 Days Later" before I head to the theater to watch the new one. So did anyone from the first one return? I've heard this one was scary. What did you think? I was a bit disappointed that Danny Boyle who directed the first one did not direct this one (or did he)... I believe someone else did.
