Napping, Netflix and the Gym

I'm not sure what is going on with me these days, but I'm napping like crazy. It seems like every afternoon as I drive home, I get so sleepy. Is it the time change or the seasonal changes we've been having? I'm not sure.

After last night's nap, I got up, had dinner, and then went to the gym late on a guilt trip. I never realized how busy the gym was at 8 PM, and full of eye candy. There was some 20-something guy in the weight room with a chiseled chest and a thick waist that caught my eye. I swear his pecs looked like he was trying to smuggle two beef roasts under his shirt.

After the gym and a shower, I hopped online and checked out Netflix.com and noted they have plans as cheap as $4.95/month. I've been buying too many movies lately and wondered if this might be a better option. Anyone have an experiences to share?

I actually love Netflix. I use the three-movie plan, so it's more expensive than the 4.95 plan. They have expanded heir distribution points, so that usually, you live close enough to one so that the mailing turnaround time makes it viable. At first, it was dreadful, and I actually quit as a result. But I joined after they sent out a mail campaign describing the improved services and it's been much better.

I should point out that you should compare teh movies offered by netflix to those offered by Blockbuster. Blockbuster offers a better deal, because for a comparable price, blockbuster also includes free in-store rentals. But for me, netflix had more of the movies i actually wanted to see...

The other thing to consider is that with the purchase of a DVD burner and the downloading of some readily available software...er... *wink*

Not that anyone on here would ever do something like that, of course. ;)

I love Netflix. I've used them for about 4 years now and have never had any complaints. I pay to have 3 movies at home at one time though. I like to have a variety.

Well I have netflix, the 3 a month plan, and I've loved it, netflix has the largest selection of gay films or any other films for that matter. I stopped buying movies cause I can either just rent it again, or copy it.

I tried Blockbuster, and even though their plan sounded better, it sucks, had nothing but problem getting the movies I wanted and they won't have certian films that netflix will.

We have Netflix and we're very satisfied with it. The plan we have costs about $18 a month and that entitles you to 3 movies out any given time. The turnaround time is FAST - there seem to be centralized distribution centers around the country, and there is one somewhere in Kentucky - so you, being close to us, would probably have fast turnaround too. They have a much MUCH bigger selection than Blockbuster. I'm using it to watch the entire "24" series from Season 1 on.

yeah...what they've all said...

we've been on netflix now about 6 months. and have enjoyed it ALOT. we're on the 1-at-a-time unlimited plan...and, well, let's just say we MIGHT have software and a burner...and, well...

it's awesome. go for it!

Netflix is great. I don't currently have an account because I can't keep up with viewing what I record on DVR. And if you are going to commit a federal crime at least do it under the guise that you are an official backup site for Netflix.

When I had an account with them I would get next day delivery since they had a distribution center in Louisville. However, if you have a fast turnaround time on your end I do believe they do hold shipping up on purpose because it could literally get to the point where you could in theory get 15 movies a week if you are on the 3 at a time plan.

I was curious as to where the distribution center was located. Apparently they keep distribution center locations very hush hush, but the local business paper lists all new leases so I got the address and went to visit. I guess they want to ensure everything runs through the mail and isn't dropped off. It was in a strip center and the windows were all covered in that black material you can't see through. No identification on the door. I could see through a crack in the door jam. I felt dirty.

I agree with all the above, Ive had netflix for allmost three years now and love it. They have had everything I've ever asked for. You can even reserve a copy of a movie that is in theaters now, when it hits DVD, you are the first to get a copy. How cool is that? I also hear that there is the same kind of service for gay porn, not that I watch it. I think a little bird told me...he he.

Netflix is a good deal

And the turnaround is very good. It could really make your entertainment dollar stretch, and the selection of gay male themed movies is fantastic.

Wow, and WOOOF. You never know what you can run into at the gym, stud.

Big hairy muscle hugs of thanks for sharing. Enjoy your blog alot.
