My Morning Commute from Heck

And you thought your morning sucked...
There is nothing like leaving home at 6:10 AM with all intentions of getting to work early and leaving early. I was in a good mood, I had a great evening, well worn out from the gym and slept well, etc. Traveling at a good click on the highways, I was but two mere miles from my office when the sight above greeted me, a sea of brake lights in the dark early morn.

The accident involved a Corona beer truck, a Jeep, some sedan, and a dump truck. I could see the dump truck after getting out of my car. Yeah, I was that close, the accident happened probably 5 minutes before. So for the next hour or so, I was stretching my legs on the highway, chatting with other drivers who shut their cars off too, and reading whatever material was in my car. It makes for a long morning and a long day. Still, I'm grateful that no one was apparently injured.

... it still wrecked my morning ... grrr!

LOL.. I think the police at the scene might have had a problem with that. Besides, I'd rather have had a beer from the Bud Light truck stuck nearby in traffic :D

{nods in agreement} I'm a bud-light man myself. Corona is really only appropriate on a beach somewhere. Would feel weird to drink it in a bar or restaurant... or ummm... on the highway at 6 in the morning.

Obviously it's a hole in their marketing program. They need to have a big traffic jam at dawn with all of the people out walking around and drinking Corona.

now... what they really should have done was make sure there was a sand truck that tipped over also, which would have created a beach like atmosphere and everyone would be ready for their corona's. "you're gonna be stuck here a LONG time... might as well drink... make it Corona!"

yeah, that was a mess. several at my work were late that morning. also, traffic on my route was bad too as people tried to get around what you were stuck in.
