Rainy Day Off

Well, it's a dreary day, but a dreary day if a day off is still pretty good. Ah, the fun of being a gov't employee. I slept in late today and it felt good.

Spent the better part of the morning chatting online a bit and then decided to go to the movies. Went to my usual theatre only to find that they had a power outage! Ugh! The poor manager, who looked about sixteen, said it would be over an hour before the power company would have it fixed.

So I drove to Erlanger to the next closest to catch the 3rd Matrix flick. The special effects were incredible as I had guessed it would be and the action scenes were exciting, but the story left me a little flat. Still, a good movie to see.

Well, it's early yet, but a calm evening at home is always good. I think I'll break out the sketch pad and see what develops.

That's exactly the kind of night I'm hoping for - cold, rainy, and holed up inside feeling cozy. I'm about to go make a pan of lasagna, and I've rented a few movies from Blockbuster. Perfect.
