The Winning Streak Ends...

Our ten game winning streak is over. Tonight we played Knox Jocks at 9 PM. The games ran late, the weather was muggy and hot, and our game seemed to go on forever. The other guys beat us for one simple reason: they played better than we did. The final score was 16-13.

I don't think we felt bad losing. It was a fun game, the other team was very sporting, everyone had a good time. We had a pretty good crowd too. Eric, Rob, and Porter from last week were back to watch, so it was good to hang with them. Just for point of reference, the two daddy bears in the photo I took at last week's game are on the Knox Jocks team, so there was plenty of eye candy for me. I was catcher for two innings. I hit a great shot to the outfield that got caught, struck out once, and was walked once. Not a bad evening for me.

I didn't get home until 11:30 PM. After a shower and getting ready for bed, it's midnight now. Tomorrow is going to suck so bad. However, there were some goodies in the mail for me tonight when I got home:

• My personal passport! I can know go outside the country for fun, instead of just for work.
  
• The lastest issue of "100% Beef"
  
• The second season of Dead Like Me on DVD from Amazon.com

Sorry about the first loss.. at least it sounds like a fun game.
