Welcome to Fountain Run, KY. Population: 342... and at least one cow

It's a small town to say the least. There is one market, which doubles as the gas station and deli. I believe that "quaint" describes it as well as "rural."

Work is going to be done tomorrow, but probably late, so I'm here another night at least. The state girls basketball tournament is being held at Western Kentucky University, so the hotel is FULL of teenage girls and lesbian gym teachers tonight. I keep looking for the burly male coaches, but they must be staying at another place. I'm sure I'll get very little sleep, but I plan on trying my best. I wish I were into sports, I'm sure it would be fun to see some of the games if I were interested.

This sign was at a highway crossing in Fountain Run. I can't believe there is an Abstinence Council in Monroe County. I wonder if this applies to adults too as it doesn't specify underage people. I'm sure they are not supplying the alternative of safe sex. Maybe this is the reason Fountain Run has only 342 residents. The sign is confusing everyone :)

I have to say that the design of the sign is terrible. The white lettering on the sea foam strip at the top makes "Practice Abstinence" hard to read. I had to play with the colors of the photo just to get them to show well. If someone gets pregnant because she couldn't read the sign, she should file a complaint.

Despite the snowfall that struck the Cincinnati area last night, the sun was shining down here today. It was also very mild, in the 50's, so I took a picture of Bessie and her friend taking in the rays.

That's a hell of a big muffin. In fact if you can hug it and rest your face on it like that woman's doing, I'd say it's more of a flour-based ottoman.

I like the Fountain Run sign photo - nice angle.
The Spunkmeyer van... well who on earth designed their marketing? Do you think they deliberately made it look like she was squeezing a big c*ck? Perhaps they were going for that subliminal advertising approach but forgot to be subliminal.

I wish the two were side by side, I would love the irony of the contrasting appearances.

There are cows everywhere here, I even had to stop and wait for a cow crossing yesterday. It wasn't so bad, except for the one straggling calf that the dog had to chase around...

And the town sign was a bit of an accident, I was trying to get the population number to turn out, but the bending of the sign was causing reflection problems, so I tried a side view and caught the cow too :)
