Hofbrauhaus and Heartburn

I met up with some friends and co-workers from the office for dinner last night at the Hofbrauhaus in Newport. My office is having a training class with some of our State counterparts and last night was their last in town. I can tell you that my friends from the KY State group are some nice looking bears.

Having never eaten at the Hofbrauhaus, I was pleasantly surprised. The food was great and they had live music. I've never actually seen an accordian performer, but he was pretty good. The marked-up tables and benches is a neat seating arrangement, but makes it hard for people to get out to get to the bathroom. There was also this very cute cubbish waiter there named Steve. That dark hair, dark eyes, and goatee of his really caught my attention. I tried subtly to take his picture with my cell phone camera, but never got the shot. He sadly wasn't our server. I'll have to take my regular camera and try to catch him in the background some other time. There was also a very nice looking man working the bar. Sigh... :)

After eating so much tasty, greasy food and a huge piece of chocolate cake last night, I woke up with heartburn, which is why this entry is being made at 3:50 AM. I'm hitting the gym in a bit and driving to Paris, KY today for work. I'll be so tired and sleepy this evening....

Sorry to hear I am not the only one unable to sleep at this ungodly hour. The stuff the doctor prescribed for my mild case of bronchitis seems to have given me a bit of insomnia, tonight. Very rare, for me.

Be very careful driving when you are tired and sleepy, though!!

I've tried to be cautious driving while sleepy...

I'm never opposed to pulling over at a rest stop and catching a quick snooze.

If you don't finish your vegetables and say your prayers, you might be cursed someday by having to see ME play the accordion. I'm just giving you fair warning. It's a rare occurrence, and there's a reason for that. ;-)

I'm sure you are very good at it. I've never seen an accordian player perform live. It was entertaining :)
