Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire
I'm expecting company tonight or else I'd have taken
_decibel_ up on his post about getting a group together to see Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire. Since I couldn't go tonight, I took in a matinee today. It's the way movies should be -- quiet and considerate people, relaxing theater, and no cell phones going off or children crying.

Dude, You Look SOOOOOO Gay!
It has been a while since I had read the book, but I do recall greatly enjoying it. The story has a wonderful way of having a growing tension, leading up to the grand climax at the end of the book. It's one of the reasons they are so hard to put down once you've started them. I don't think the movie is any different, I think I checked my watch once during the movie. I thought the movie was incredible!

Our Hermione is Growing Up and Getting Beautiful
I will say that I think the actors are growing in talent. Emma Watson is becoming quite a beautiful young lady. I saw her in the dress above and thought, "Oh look, Hermione is getting boobies!" She'll be one to look out for as she grows up, she'll be a heartbreaker.
I wont give away any spoilers, but I am not sure if that's possible, since most of the audience has likely already read the book. Still, I wont give anything in depth.
The special effects were exceptional, they really brought the story to life. I think Hagrid could do better. Once you see the movie, you'll know what I mean. I will say this movie is a bit darker than the others, but that goes along with the kids growing up. It's reality I guess, in a fantasy world.
One last nugget I throw out is the Bulgarian actor playing Victor Krum. His name is Stanislav Ianevski and he is quite the hunk. It's his first acting gig according to the IMDB. I think one of the things I like about this movie is that if there is a French character, they hire a French actor for realism.
It's not hard to figure out from this lengthy post, but I really loved the movie.

And no, the company I'm having tonight is my best friend from high school, straight as an arrow!
