Friday Five Plus One

Okay, I typed all of this out once and the internet belched and lost it.. grrrr!

So, here we go again, I was sitting here and thought I'd throw some questions out to the poor slobs like me who are a little bored on a slow Friday waiting for the clock to roll by.

  1. Would you immigrate to another country? Which one and why?
  2. What relative are you most like?
  3. If you created a soft drink, what would you call it?
  4. What physical characteristic of a person first attracts you?
  5. What activity or sport have you never tried, but always wanted to give a shot?
Bonus -- What TV character describes you when you're angry? in lust? in love?

My Answers...

  1. Would you immigrate to another country? Where and why?

Canada or Ireland. Having been to both, I think I would be very comfortable in either place.

  2. What family relative are you most like?

My mom. I favor her coloring (dark hair and eyes) and we have a lot of the same interests and tastes, like cooking, drawing, painting, music, country humor, etc.

  3. If you created the latest soft drink, what would you call it?

Fizzy Wiz, the drink that goes right through you... now with lime flavor ;)

  4. What physical characteristic of a person is the first you find attractive?

Facial hair has always grabbed by attention, but I do enjoy looking at the eyes. If they're expressive, they're very attractive.

  5. What activity or sport have you never tried, but always wanted to give a shot?

I think I'd like to try waterskiing or scuba diving

Bonus -- What TV character describes you when you're angry? in lust? in love?

Angry -- Julia Sugarbaker, cutting, rapid-fire hillbilly speech
Lust -- Blanche Devereaux, who couldn't be Blanche when they're horny?
Love -- Ally McBeal, sheer insanity with hallucinations.. oogah oogah...

LOL
I'm going to start calling you Blanche!

hmmmmmm

1.) I'd say the same - Canada or Ireland. I'd especially like to go because of the climate! Ireland because of my ancestral ties.

2.) I'm most like my mother I think although I can DEFINITELY relate to my father on many things. I just tend to be a more "quirky" person, like my mother's humor.

3.) Diet Slurm. I have no idea.

4.) again, gotta go with you on this one - facial hair and eyes.

5.) parachuting! (until I actually got up in the plane, then I'd crawl in the back as far as I could.)

Angry - John Locke from Lost. I bark what I believe to be logic.
Lust - John Black from DooL. I look mystified and try to pass as sexy until I'm sure the feeling is requited.
Love - any nerdy high school girl ever portrayed.

Ah, I look forward to getting back to Ireland, preferably on vacation, not work.

LOL.. Diet Slurm? We all know where Slurm comes from.

John Black from DOOL... Ah, he's so cute.. and I know exactly who you're talking about... I grew up on DOOL, it's my mom's favorite soap.

1: Canada (Vancouver BC....Seeing that I get up there 2 or 3 times a year).

2: An uncle (Mom's brother, Build wise we are the same, except he is about 5 inch's taller then me).

3: This one is making me think to much....(OUCH).

4: The face (The eye's and facial hair are a tie for 1st, then forearms and legs are close enough to tie for 2nd).

5: Curling (Watched it when Canada hosted the Olympic's a few years back, and it sparked an interest. Then on a day trip to Canada with my room-mate, we saw a curling practice type place one day, that re-sparked the interest).

Ah, furry forearms and legs are a strong attractant for me too :)

1. Would you immigrate to another country? Which one and why?
If it was for the right opportunity, personal or professional, I would. I almost got a job in Ireland, and part of me really wish that opportunity would have come through.

2. What relative are you most like?
As far as looks, and work ethic and value system I am completely like my mother. She was Japanese, and that comes across in my looks naturally. I also think they way she does about many things. However, I have noticed in my adulthood I have completely taken some of the mannerisms and the odd-ball sense of humor of my Dad. I'm pleased that I'm a pretty good mix of both my parents in many ways.

3. If you created a soft drink, what would you call it?
Super Tonic Water - Twice the bitterness and half the sugar!

4. What physical characteristic of a person first attracts you?
Always three things: The physical characteristics of the face, the calves, and how hairy the forearms are.

5. What activity or sport have you never tried, but always wanted to give a shot? Sky diving. Some day. It will happen!

Bonus -- What TV character describes you when you're angry? in lust? in love?
Angry: Prof. Kingsfield from the Paper Chase. No histronics. All the anger.
Lust: Oh god, I have no idea on this one.
Love: Hmm... this assumes I've been in love.

1. I'm not sure how to answer this... I've already lived in Germany, Holland, Switzerland and Sweden, so I think that it's a given that I would emigrate. Too many places I would like to live, but USA, Australia and Japan are all high on the list.
2. I'm not that similar to any one person in the family. I look like a cross between my oldest brother and my mother's father. Personality wise, I am very like my father... sensible and stubborn.
3. "Whatever". So if people didn't know what to order and just asked for whatever, they'd get my drink.
4. A nice mouth (especially if it is surrounded by a good beard) really does it for me.
5. Ice hockey looks like it would be great fun. I'm not the much of an ice skater (we only had 1 ice rink in Ireland when I was a kid) and I don't really have the build for it. But it looks a laugh.

Angry - Mutley (the cartoon dog). I just grumble to myself, I never shout at others.
Lust - George from Seinfeld. I come out with the stupidest lines without realising what I am saying.
Love - I can't come up with anybody for this... Somebody who is prone to hero-worship.

1. Canada. Specifically Vancouver. The climate is friendlier there.

2. I don't resemble anyone in my family. I'm convinced there was a mix-up in the hospital.

3. "I Can't Believe It's Not Beer"

4. Depends on the view. Usually the smile, but it's often the butt. I'm a butt guy.

5. Rugby. Ruggers have great butts (see above).

Angry- Lisa Simpson. Muttering, plotting, but ultimately granting resigned forgiveness.
Lust- Ted from QAF. I'm a dork, but I'm focused.
Love- Dana Scully. I'm stoic.
