Week in Review...

Going Under

It's been a hard day's night, and I've been working like a dog.... Yeah, that sums it up. I've not posted much or been online much of late, just been working like crazy. Getting up early and getting home late has been the norm this week. I've actually been going to bed around 9 PM every night. September is always like this, the big crunch before our fiscal year ends on the 30th. I hate this time of year. Add to that the stresses of low morale in the office and some stressful dating issues and I've not been in the best of moods of late. I long for October to get here.

Due to the stresses of work of late, I have been looking for escape after work, which is generally a trip to the bowling alley or to the movies. Someone stated to me recently that it sounded like a lonely activity. Sometimes, when I'm in this mood, I'm not the best company, so movies are good for that.

After work today, I went to go see The Exorcism of Emily Rose. Overall, it was an okay movie. Laura Linney is becoming one of my favorite actresses. The movie is basically a courtroom drama of a supernatural event. There were a few spots where I jumped, I admit. However, it really wasn't a good movie for my mood, I think. I needed happy escape and this movie didn't really provide that. I need simplicity, I should have gone to see Sky High again.

Not much else is going on this weekend, just relaxing and coasting a bit. I think I need that.

I like to go to the movies by myself, too. Sometimes, it's just better that way.

I hope that you end up having a great weekend, despite all of the stressful things that are going on. *hugs*

I don't mind going to the movies solo, it's not like you get to talk in them anyway (well, you don't if you were taught how to behave in the theater).

Have a good weekend yourself, traveling man. Big hugs :)

I was expecting pictures, Capt. :(

Sorry, I'll have to work on that.

This will seem totally unrelated, and I apologize in advance, but H and I just bought Lost on DVD, and that picture of the polar bear in your icon just about fuh-reaked me out. *shiver*

Sorry Dave, I haven't watched Lost, so I have no clue what the polar bear significance is in the show. :(

No worries. In a couple of episodes, a polar bear shows up to menace the stranded passengers ... even though they're on a tropical island. It's a great show and I highly HIGHLY recommend it -- go out and get it on DVD!

Hey Mark.

I hope your entire month isn't like this.

I enjoy going to the movies by myself. It's not like you can talk to the other person while you are watching anyway, but it is nice to have someone to talk to about the movie after. I opted for Transporter 2 today. It wasn't bad, the first one was better, but it had a shirtless Stratham, so I can't complain.

Take care and don't work too hard.

Big Hugs!

Sadly, it likely will be this way all month.. but it's pretty much the norm...

Big hugs back to ya :)
