The WIFI Field Test

After work, I went and played tennis against the wall for an hour to work off some frustrations. With the beautiful weather here, I just couldn't justify staying inside the gym. I'm not sure if I'm getting any better, but I'm sweating alot, so I guess I must be getting some exercise.

I drove over to Panera Bread to grab some soup for dinner and to try out the wireless internet in the field, so to speak. So far things seem to be working quite well. The soup is good and so is the connection. I think the iBook was a good buy.

I'm also enjoying the people watching. Currently there are two male 20-somethings in very trendy outfits discussing how to run a business. Now I wasn't a business major, but even I can tell they're full of crap. The trendier of the two is also doing the forefinger-against-the-forehead and the thumb-against-the-cheek gesture when he listens. I guess he thinks it makes him look important, but he forgets that it forms the loser "L" as well...

Ah, how fun this is...

Did you ever hear the Mitch Hedberg joke about tennis? I forgot the exact wording, but the punchline was something like "Man, that wall is fucking RELENTLESS!"

:):):)

LOL... I'd not heard that, but it's hilarious... and SO TRUE!!!! The wall was fine, but it ran me all over the place!

That's a funny image you paint of the "business" dudes. Hee hee, that gave me a good laugh.

I just couldn't help myself. My cousin has the same look and talks the same way, so the depth of crap was so apparent!

Congratulations on your recent acquisition, the ibook. It sounds like the perfect tool for communicating while you travel and vacation. When is it that you are going to Ireland? You have to share your experiences and pics. TAKE LOTS OF PICS. My ancestors were all Irish and I have never been there.

Keep up the work exercising and going to the gym. You will notice a difference in health and energy. Maybe your habits will inspire me to be more active. Ha! We'll see.

Thanks! I'm loving the iBook and I'll be sure to take my digital camera for photo opportunities.
