When it rains, it pours... the "check engine" light came on this morning during my drive to work... I sense a voo doo doll with my hair attached to it somewhere and a pin sticking where my wallet resides.

Check your gas cap! Sometimes if it's loose (even if you don't think it is), that can cause your engine light to come on. I'd take it all the way off and put it all the way back on and see if that does anything.

Hmmm... tried that and reset the light only to have it come back on today. I'm leaving it at the garage tomorrow to have them run the diagnostic on it and see what comes up.

EEP! Not good. I hate car problems. Mine has been starting to act a little weird and I'm scared to take it in. I don't have the money to put into it either.
