Drag Race 2005

While chatting with chrisglass, he let me know about the Cincinnati Drag Race going on this afternoon. So I grabbed my digital camera and headed uptown and met up with Chris on a very hot afternoon. I had always heard of this drag race, where the local drag queens have a quick foot race. Overall, it was a bit disappointing....



2005 Drag Race

I thought there would be actual drag queens running, and there were plenty walking about in the crowds, but it seems none of them were in the running. So after the folks from Hamburger Mary's ran the race, there wasn't any more.



Chris Glass and the Chocolate Factory

We ran into booboobob and his buddy and went to Mary's for a quick beer. Mary's was packed and took forever to get served. After we downed some beers, we decided to go to Spurs for beer and a larger place to move around in.

At Spurs we ran into _decibel_ and his honey Chris, as well as my buddy Paul from the Serpent and my Bear411 chat buddy John from Louisville. It was fun to see everyone out and having fun.

After being in the hot sun, I was drained and had had enough and decided to leave after a while. I took many more pics and posted them in a public gallery here.

Wow, looked like despite the not so great drag race, y'all had a great time.

I have to agree the drag queens, what I saw of them in any case, weren't all that impressive to begin with.

And that Chris Glass, when he smiles, looks like he's laughing, what with that show of pearly whites and the twinkling slits for eyes. :-)

I can definatly see why _decibel_ looked happy, what with all that alcohol and that nice looking fellow n all. ;-)

How fun... I was told on the way home last night that there had been $2.50 Long Island pitchers and was bummed I missed it... haha :)
