Beware the Dentist...

Grrr! This could qualify as a rant, I think.

Had a morning appointment with my new dentist, who came highly recommended. He's a nice guy, but even the nicest guy in the world can become unliked when he gives you bad news. He says I need a root canal and two crowns.... OUCH!

My pathetic insurance covers next to nothing, so the whole bill, about $2500, is mine. Blue Cross/Blue Shield is next to worthless and it appears that i'll be making my dentist's next few car payments.

I really don't understand how these things happen. I brush two, sometimes three times a day, floss, and rinse. The way this is coming out, you'd think I was brushing my teeth with molasses. Well, there goes the question of what I was going to do with next year's tax return. Beware of me today....

Ouch. That really sucks. I know there's no way I could afford that. If you make money like that, can you get me a job? :) Or maybe I'll just be your houseboy.

Actually, it looks I'll be dipping in my savings account to deal with this. My 7-yr old car may have to last another year or so... "sniff" :(
