Kung-Fu Hustle

The IT folks have taken my laptop to do some upgrades, so I decided to leave early today. I told a co-worker today that I might go see Kung-Fu Hustle after work. He said that I'd likely be one of five people in the theater. He was EXACTLY right (and one guy was really cute).

Beware the Curlers

Overall, I liked the movie, some great special effects, especially the fight sequences, and some innate silliness and jokes. I actually bust out laughing at several scenes... picture dancing men carrying hatchets. The lady above stole the show in my opinion.. and those curlers are quite the spectacle. She also manages to fight without dropping that cigarette out of her mouth.

She doesn't shoot ping pong balls out of her hoo-hoo, does she?

LOL! No she doesn't, but I'm sure she'd be quite capable of doing it!!!

I was wondering if this was a good flick. Thanks for the write-up. I'm gonna go see it now. :)

I hope you enjoy it :)

Yeah, a friend of mine saw this and said it was absolutely enjoyable. I'm gonna have to go see it myself. I loved Shaolin Soccer by the same director and I like all kung-fu movies in general.

Well, I think "enjoyable" is a good description. Often people judge a movie as though they were looking at a piece of art, overanalyzing the flick and pointing out it's many flaws. Very few people stop to ask themselves if they actually enjoyed themselves because of it. :D

I loved it too.

I loved Shaolin Soccer, and the part in this movie, where he smashes the soccer ball and says, "No more soccer" was pretty funny as an inside joke. .

Can't wait till tomorrow night to watch House of Flying Daggers.
