Roughest of Days

I got to work at 7 AM this morning.. it's 11:10 PM.. and I just got home from work. Ugh!

I knew I was in trouble when the boss came up behind me at 2:30 PM and said, "Mark, I need you to help protect the public." Translation: There is a filthy food warehouse you need to inspect today and it's only an hour's drive away.

Several hours, some horrible traffic, and one pallet of infested oatmeal later, I'm home and extremely tired. I have about six hours of sleep ahead of me and then it starts all over again. Sigh....

Now would you mind coming here and shutting down my neighborhood Chinese take away? Which by the way was just awarded a "C" by the health inspector. They way they just pass "A"s around here like free air, I imagine by the time they have issued a "C" people must have died.

Actually, one of my co-workers was a health inspector for Hamilton County, Ohio. She used to inspect the Chinese restaurants and buffets on a regular basis. Some of the stories she can tell would turn you off Chinese food forever.
