Rainy days and Mondays...

Well, the rain came down today... hard. Kind of wrecked my plans, but that's okay. It's been dry for a while, we've needed the rain. Discovered a few things about property taxes today that put me in a foul mood earlier, but I'll deal.

Saw "Cabin Fever" today. Don't. It's a horrible movie -- bad acting, bad writing, and it's just plain stupid. Too bad, it had the potential to be really good. I say to everyone not to see this flick, only because I want you to save your money and do something more meaningful with the hour and forty minutes of your life, like brushing the dog's teeth or finally scrubbing that toilet you've been avoiding. It's because I care.

Well, I know your time is precious, so I figure it's good to give fair warning. It's so bad it could become a drinking game. Everyone takes a shot when you hear a cast member say, "But I don't want to catch it!"

That rain made my morning commute hell too! But it made it easier for me to pull weeds in the evening...

I hate to ask, but... What did you discover about Property Taxes? Educate me, please. All I know is they're VERY EXPENSIVE, we'll get the bill sometime in October, and if you don't pay right away the price goes up. My mom passed away 12/22/02 and I inherited the house... Which is kinda scary to me, even though I'm married, because I'm only 23 and I worry that I don't know everything I should about owning a house. I seriously could use the info if you know something I don't.

And to think, the previews for the movie looked really good, or at least the synopsis sounded really good. *sigh* If we do see it, we'd probably wait until it's in the cheap Danberry theater in Florence or just rent it when it comes out on DVD. Yes, I'm taking your suggestion to not waste money on it to heart. We've warned people in the past about sucky movies and, oh, how they wished they took our advice and saved the money instead. After all, warning others about bad movies is what all friends should do to avoid peeps getting ripped off.

*hugs*

P.S. The rain WAS horrible... We had to drive in it for an hour (both ways - ugh) to get to the court house in Grant County yesterday.

Oh, I didn't really discover anything new about them, just found out that my family owes some back taxes on our old house and property. After my dad passed away in 1999, they sort of got forgotten about because no one is living there now. My brother, sister, and I all thought one or the other was paying them, only to discover that NONE of us were. Big snafu, large back tax bill that we had to deal with.
