Manic Monday
Like Garfield, I have always dreaded Mondays. Still, I am one day closer to going home, which I am looking forward to. Class was actually pretty good today. Most of our speakers were interesting and two of them, Kevin and Tom, were both nice furry-faced bear types. Kevin was tall and leaner, gray beard and dark eyes. Tom was shorter, heavier, with a full salt and pepper beard. If I learned nothing today, at least the eye candy was pretty good.
My presentation group is driving me nuts. I’ve got the NY chick who is just hard to deal with, Nashville Steve is uninterested, and the KS lady is confused. We met after class for 15 minutes to hash over junk and get nothing accomplished. The KS lady wanted to meet with me separately to discuss things in a calmer mood. So one hour after class, I finally made it back to my room. I had two phone messages, one of which was my classmate Steve (not Nashville Steve) with whom I was supposed to go to dinner. Because of my lengthy group meeting, we had missed each other. Damn! Dinner alone again, which sucks.
Well, I’m tired and in low-key mode. Reading a book or drawing sounds pretty good actually. It allows me to avoid my group tonight.
