Six Days and Counting

Okay, this morning made the day seem a little better. Still not in the mood I would like to be in, but I'm doing the best I can. I'm not in downtown Milan (or Milano as the natives call it), but am actually a bit north of the city. Still, it is a beautiful area, very old, and strangely heavily graffittied. Who knows?

The people seem nice and I'm looking forward to seeing a few sights and eating some great food. British food leaves something to be desired in some cases, but if last night's dinner was an example, I will be gaining some weight this week.

The good news is that I did manage to get my England souvenirs for the most part, but I'm not sure what I will buy here. In fact, I may only get a few trinket type things. My adventurous spirit is fighting hard with my homesickness. The end result is just one step above apathy, get the job done and get home. For those reading this who are disappointed in my attitude, I apologize. I'll try to make the most of it anyway.

Well, I should get the day started. Milano is a very hopping place -- fall fashion starting, the soccer game between England and Italy, and car racing -- they're all happening around this place within the next two weeks, so people are pouring in. I'm sure I'll find something to do.
