I do love old pics like this, tho I don't usually have the same take as you seem to have gotten from it. I just think "oh that's so cool" not "I bet she was a tart" LOL

LOL... well, I didn't get that originally. I just noticed how fanciful her outfit seemed to be in contrast to the blander outfits of everyone around her and made up the rest.

And I like old photos like this too. I try to imagine what it looked like in color.

color didn't exist back then, the whole world was black and white, I'm sure of it.

Color wasn't invented until about 1949...and wasn't widely distributed until 1955.

In da U.P., we didn't get color until 1968, and then, only because we got cable.
