My First Denver Night -- Wrangler Beer Bust
Well, my first night in Denver was a blast, thanks to Brady (
bradferd23) and his handsome hubby Nick (who has an LJ, but I can't find his user name). Brady is the sweetest (and I think most patient) guy in the world and Nick has a British accent and one of the thickest goatees I've ever scratched, both designed to make you swoon.

Nick, Brady, and Mike
Brady and Nick picked me up from the hotel right after I arrived and took me to the beer bust at the Denver Wrangler, which is a pretty cool bar in itself, fairly spacious and they block off part of the parking lot. The crowd there was HUGE, at least in comparison to Cincinnati bar groupings. It was an endless parade of hot bears and me with only my camera phone (darn it again). I saw
joebehrsandiego and hollered his name, to which he turned around and stared at me like I was a psycho. I found him later and explained I had seen him on
jeffinthebox's posts and apologized for just yelling hello like that. He's cute, what else could I do? Did I mention that the beer bust offers a bottomless cup of beer for $7? It explains a lot of my behavior for the rest of the evening.
Brady and Nick introduced me to several guys, including very burly, non-LJ'er Mike in the photo above and a very cute guy named Tom, whose picture I didn't get (again darn!)

Van and Me
One of the nicest guys I met was Van (
pink_halen), who is very well known as the bust as everyone it seemed stopped to say hi to him. He's a great guy, I enjoyed giving him a huge bear hug.

Troy and Me
One of the joys of being from out of town is that you can be much bolder than back home (and the buzz from that beer cup that kept getting mysteriously refilled didn't hurt either). So I this cute bear above caught my eye and I had to stop by and say howdy. His name is Troy. He's a very sweet bear who said that I'd caught his eye too. I enjoyed hugging him ... he's like a teddy bear :)
After a few hours at the bust, we decided to go get some food. They have a new Hamburger Mary's here with a very cool decor and room for future expansion. It makes me miss our Mary's back home.

Mary is such a tart
While waiting to get seated, my buzz still going a bit, I decided to get a little fresh with Mary's statue. She's a tart, really, flaunting that burger the way she does. And those hooters are not real, they are hard as a rock and they don't bounce.

Brady gets very fresh!
Not to be outdone, Brady decides to play doctor with Mary. And he does this while his hubby looks on too. :)

So we finally got seated and ordered food. The good news is that Mary's is universal it seems in so-so service, but the food is still good. We got to meet Julie the waitress (but sadly not ours) who called the group at the table "her bears," which was incredibly sweet. So we talked, I kept eyeing a cute bear named Mac at the next table (who has a partner, geez.. the good ones are taken) and we tried in vain to ignore the cackle of the hag at the table behind us.
After dinner, as we walked away from Mary's, Julie the waitress came out to the sidewalk and yelled "Bye Bears" (or something) and lifted her shirt and flashed us with white bra. Not to be outdone, a couple of us lifted shirts and flashed back. I like a waitress who knows her audience.
So after good-bye hugs to the gang, Brady and Nick drove me back to the hotel. Such great guys, I thanked them a lot for a fun evening. Well, it's training, training, training this week... so it may be all downhill from here.
