Walking to Borders

After a nap this morning, I got up and decided I needed to do something active. So I got dressed and decided to walk to Borders. According to Yahoo! Maps, it's a 2.6 mile hike one way.

I stopped at Applebee's and had a late lunch (or early dinner). I have to admit that the server at the bar seemed less than impressed to have a rather sweaty guy at the bar. I can't help it, it was hot outside ;) So the food was good, the service could have been better. Oh well.

So I made it to Borders and bought a New Mutants compilation and the latest issue of "The Advocate," which stars LJ's own [livejournal.com profile] bigsabu, [livejournal.com profile] animbear, and [livejournal.com profile] redbeardedblond in the feature story on gay polygamy. Robert posted about it in his journal here. It's a very good article and has a nice picture of three burly bears. :)

After Borders, I made the long hike home. Needless to say that my legs are very sore....

Well, it was in the middle of the day, the restaurant was not crowded at all, so I didn't think anything of it. I was a bit miffed that the bar server had issue with it, because it's not like I smelled or anything.

When I was a server, I waited on all people the same, regardless of how "icky" they were ;)

That's not as bad as...

The three of us driving two blocks from the gym to Village Inn sweaty and gross to undo our workout. The hostess now expects us to be drippy and is disappointed if we're not.

See, I like places like that, where the servers know you :)

Oh no, I do agree with you there. There's no excuse for him making you feel uncomfortable.
