Homeward Bound
Last night went well. Sat in the hotel bar with friends from class, drinking and shooting the bull. I had two beers and three glasses of wine. I was buzzing so well, felt good after the dull week I've had. My classmates are a really eclectic group and incredibly interesting. I've missed this sort of activity.
One of the government's travel specialist showed up to mingle and get names for her next foreign trips. I reluctantly gave her mine, but the rumor mill says that she's one of the best. If you really want to go somewhere special, she'll get you there. Making contacts last night was a good thing, but not something I routinely do. I told her I'd be ready for another foreign excursion in the Spring sometime.
Found some really neat places to shop and eat last night, which is sad considering I'm getting ready to leave. I did find out that there is another training here in December that I'll likely be going to, so I filed the good places away in the old brain folder for future reference.
Class promises to be some quick lectures and then they'll let us go. I have a early afternoon flight and should be home in no time, which I love. I look forward to sleeping in my own bed this weekend. I may find a quick quiz to take later.
